Discussing technology & innovation in Australia and around the globe.
ANNOUNCEMENT Innovation Bay Presents our brand new podcast series! 15.06.2017

We're excited to announce we've started a podcast - Open The Pod Bay Door (10 points if you get the reference).

Presented by Innovation Bay cofounder's -  Ian Gardiner and Phaedon Stough - each episode will be an in-depth interview with the people making the biggest difference in Australian tech.

Our first guest is one of the most successful Venture Capitalists in Australia, Daniel Petre. Daniel is a founder of Airtree Ventures, a technology-focused venture capital company. Before Airtree VC he was the Founding Chairman of Netus (a technology investment company acquired by Fairfax Media in 2013) and prior to this, he founded Australia's largest internet investment company, ecorp. The returns to investors from all of these funds were nothing short of extraordinary - Netus delivered a 4x cash-on-cash return to investors.

Earlier in his career he held several senior executive roles with Microsoft, including reporting to Bill Gates and running the APAC region for Microsoft.

Daniel serves on a number of Boards including federal government's "Innovation and Science Australia", UNSW Australia Business School and the University of Sydney Medical School. He is also an adjunct professor at the Business School of the University of Sydney and the Business School of UNSW Australia.

As you'd expect with a career so expansive and a resume so impressive, Daniel is incredibly smart and articulate - and known to be quite opinionated!  He's also a remarkable predictor of the future.

We’re delighted that Daniel was our first guest. We unpack a lot on 70 minutes,

We hope you enjoy! Please tweet and share and send us your feedback!
